Here, you can learn how to solve a Rubik's cube. After that, if you are willing enough to challenge yourself, learn shortcuts. You can find loads of very practical algorithms for speedcubing. The F2L algorithms are strictly intuitive and can help you with OH solving (one-handed) without gutting OH amnesia or just forgetting the algo. As for PLL, in my opinion, Bob Burton's cubewhiz site supplies some of the best algorithms for speedcubing. I too, have some very intuitive PLL algos up.
